Colin Evans


Colin Evans is an experienced mechanical engineer and energy consultant who works with architects, contractors, owners, and commissioning agents to contribute to sustainable engineering and energy control system design.

His ambition to protect the health of the earth for future generations has been a driving force in his career choices. He focuses on energy modeling, LEED consulting, and energy auditing for new and existing buildings. His previous experience includes energy modeling and load calculations using TRACE 700; plumbing and HVAC design using AutoCAD and REVIT; building automation system design and commissioning; as well as hands-on field experience in construction management.

As a volunteer, he is involved in Engineers Without Borders, where he is currently working on a project to provide solar hot air equipment to rural communities on the Navajo reservation.

Colin is a graduate of the University of New Mexico with a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering and holds the following certifications:

  • Licensed Engineer
  • LEED AP Existing Buildings: O + M
  • LEED AP Building Design and Construction: BD+C
